Exploring access to GP services in York
This report examines people’s experiences of accessing GP services in our city. We heard about areas of good practice as well as several critical issues affecting patient experiences in GP practices.

GP surgeries are vital for people to access the healthcare and treatment they need. They are effectively the gateway to our health and care system. Our accessibility audit was about fact finding to understand how accessible York’s GP surgeries are.

Websites are an increasingly important place for people to find out information and access services from local GP practices. This report looks at the 11 GP practice websites which cover York and the surrounding areas.
