Waiting times for autism and ADHD diagnoses, both for children and adults are at an all-time high. Whilst we acknowledge that this is a national issue, it provides little comfort to the people waiting years to get the support they need.
We have received a large amount of feedback over recent years which illustrates the struggle that people are having in accessing support for neurodiversity, and in response have published the following reports.
In August 2023 we published “I want to know, I want a diagnosis, I want help” - an independent evaluation of the pilot pathway for adult ADHD and Autism. The report is available here.
In January this year we published our report: Listening to Neurodivergent Families which looks at the experiences of neurodivergent families in York. It was produced in partnership with The Land, York Carers Centre, York Disability Rights Forum and Parent Carer Forum York. Read the full report here.
