Free, independent, confidential and impartial advice to everyone who lives or works in York on a range of issues including welfare benefits, money, employment, housing and homelessness, immigration, consumer issues, relationship breakdown and other legal matters.

Raise York
The Raise York website contains a wealth of information to support parents, carers, children, young people and anyone who works with children, young people and families.

York Carers Centre
Working in partnership with carers, statutory and voluntary organisations to ensure carers in York have access to confidential information, advice and support.

First Call 50+ Age UK York
A free signposting and information service for people aged 50 and over, living in the City of York. Putting you in touch with services you need to remain safe, healthy and independent in your own home.

Dementia Forward
Dementia Forward provides information, advice and support and is the route to many other services specifically aimed at reducing social isolation and increasing wellbeing for both the person diagnosed and their family.

Social Prescribing - Primary Care Link Workers
Primary Care Link Workers are social prescribers based in GP surgeries across York. Often people access their GP for what is primarily a social issue, such as loneliness, isolation or financial problems. Social prescribers work to address the root cause of these difficulties, will work alongside you, get to know you, and help to provide an alternative to medical intervention.
